What to Know About Addiction Recovery Treatment

Who should seek treatment?

Beyond Urgent Care walks with you on your road to healing. Addiction is a chronic brain disease that creates a dependency on substances. Overcoming an opioid addiction specifically can be a daunting task. Beyond Urgent Care in New Milford is here to help reinforce your recovery.

Treatment

A once-monthly, non-addictive medicine, Vivitrol (naltrexone for extended-release injectable suspension), will be administered by one of our trained physicians. Vivitrol is an extended-release injectable  form of naltrexone. The medicine is an opioid antagonist, blocking the opioid receptors in the brain for a month to lessen the probability of relapse.

When combined with therapy, counseling and social support, you may have a lessened opioid dependence and alleviated cravings.*
